The Fender Stratocaster (Strat) electric guitar was first designed and manufactured in 1954. It's been manufactured continuously ever since. It has become one of the (if not the) most famous guitars in the world. It's been played by countless guitar legends including Jeff Beck, Ritchie Blackmore, Eric Clapton, John Frusciante, David Gilmour, George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Bonnie Raitt, Pete Townshend, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Frank Zappa.
